| Nepal Programs
At present CARE Nepal is operating
16 community development projects in 36 districts of Nepal
reaching 5,757,460 population with total number of direct
benificiaries are 2,426,090 and total number of women benificiaries
are 1,240,152 and children benificiaries of 1,552,398 in
over 700 VDCs. CARE Nepal carry out projects that implement
a broad range of components often in an integrated fashion.
The 16 projects in CARE Nepals current
portfolio implement a range of activities to enable poor
and vulnerable people to create and benefit from opportunities
that improve their lives and ensure greater gender and caste
equity, with lasting impact.
Major Strategies
Integrate rights, equity and governance
perspectives in all CARE Nepal programs, to address systemic,
structural and policy related causes of poverty and social
injustice.
Promote and advocate for equitable and
sustainable access of poor, vulnerable and socially excluded
people to basic services and resources for secured livelihoods.
Mainstream conflict
sensitivity into all CARE Nepal programming in order to
minimize its negative impact and position ourselves to engage
in peace building.
Build strategic
alliances and accountability of CARE Nepal, partners and
communities for disaster risk reduction and emergency response.
Develop diversified funding portfolio
to strengthen CARE Nepal's strategic program focus.
Develop and implement comprehensive
transformation strategy that aligns the organization with
strategic program focus and ensures program quality.
