The Country Director of CARE Nepal, Mr Alexxander Kassenberg was on a 3 day visit to Pakribaas to attend the first quarterly meeting of CSP East. The meeting was held at the premises the premises of National Agricultural Research Council in Pakhribas. The objective of the meeting was to review the progress of the activities of CSP so far since its commencement.
The three day program started with a briefing about CARE International from the CD. The participants got an overview of what CARE was doing globally and the country office. The interaction was informal where the participants got an opportunity to directly interact with the CD and clear their queries and apprehensions. The first day revolved around presentations from various district and project progress while the second and third day focused on presentations on communication strategy, bottleneck exercise and Women Led Total Sanitation.
The participants shared their experiences of the first phase of CSP and also their experiences of the second phase and the updates of the project since April 2010. They also shared their overall expectations and experience at CARE Nepal with the country director. "This is the first time in the history of my 17 year long career in CARE that I spent three days with the Country Director. I am very happy that I got this opportunity to directly interact with him." said Rohit Yadav
The Country director also mentioned this to be an equally wonderful experience for him as he enjoyed being with the staff and hearing their stories. However, he said that he was looking forward to going to the field the next time and seeing things on the ground.
The meeting was participated by the project staff of CSP east, the project coordinator of CSP and the Communication Manager of CARE Nepal.
