In Baruwa VDC of Sindhupalchowk, earthquake affected people are out of food, roads are blocked and survivors are loosing hopes. The villages are cut off as narrow foot trails have been blocked by the landslides triggered by the earthquake. There was also acute shortage of drinking water after the distressing quake. The main challenges in providing aid to these most affected rural areas is lack of access with roads destroyed and lack of information from many of these remote areas. CARE is the first aid agency to reach this village. CARE is now sending staff and supplies by helicopter and on foot to assess and provide assistance.
