CARE Nepal carries out projects that implement a broad range of components by thus promoting an integrated approach of development. Addressing poverty and encouraging income generation activities are the cross cutting issues raised by all projects by thus directly and indirectly promoting empowerment at all levels.

The projects and programs integrate rights, equity and governance perspectives so that the issues relating to systematic, structural and policy related causes of poverty and social injustices are dealt appropriately. The projects also promote and advocate for equitable and sustainable access of poor, vulnerable and socially excluded people to basic services and resources for secured livelihoods.

Nepal under went a major political shift within the past couple of years and CARE Nepal tried to internalize the new political agenda within the organization so that the fast emerging post conflict issues are effectively dealt with. It mainstreamed conflict sensitivity into all CARE Nepal programming in order to minimize its negative impact and position ourselves to engage in peace building.

CARE Nepal is also sensitive towards its role and responsibilities as a humanitarian organization to assist in the time of need. It has built strategic alliances and accountability with other partners and communities for disaster risk reduction and emergency response. The organization is very alert towards maintaining quality in its programs. It has developed and implemented comprehensive transformation strategy that aligns the organization with strategic program focus and ensures program quality.
